ZTE announces four new Blade phones

While ZTE makes flagship phones, it’s more known for making midrange phones. The company was able to join MWC this year and it unveiled some new midrange handsets in its Blade series. These are the Blade V40, Blade V40 5G, Blade 40 Pro, and the Blade V40 Vita. Each phone occupies a similar space in the midrange market, but they have different sets of features. ZTE didn’t give out too much information on these phones’ specs, but there is enough to get a general idea. The regular Blade V40 has a large 6.67-inch display at 1080p+ resolution. The screen takes up 92.1% of the front, and it’s only interrupted by a punch-hole. On the back, we have a triple-camera setup with a 48MP camera as the main. There’s also a macro camera and a depth sensor. That’s similar to the new TCL phones announced at MWC. The ZTE Blade V40 Pro has the same sized screen with the same resolution, but this one is an AMOLED display. Keeping that screen on is a large 5,100mAh battery. That battery can be charged using 65W Super Fast Charging. The ZTE Blade V40 Vita is a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to its specs. The phone has a larger screen at 6.745 inches, but it’s only 720p+ resolution. You will definitely be able to see individual pixels if you look close enough. However, this phone’s main appeal doesn’t lie in its screen. This phone has a massive 6,000mAh battery powering it. That, coupled with the reduced screen resolution, should lead to some good battery life. Rounding out the list, we have the ZTE Blade V40 5G. The company didn’t really give us much information on this phone. All we know about this phone is that it has 5G capabilities and 360-degree antennas to pick up a better signal.

Price and availability

Unfortunately, there’s currently no word on how much these phones will cost. Don’t expect them to cost much though, and the Vita might be the most affordable one. However, what is known is that these four new ZTE Blade phones will launch globally sometime in April.
