The Vivo X90 Pro is said to include a 1-inch camera sensor
It is still not clear whether the Vivo X90 Pro will use the same camera sensor as the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. As a reminder, that is the Sony IMX989, and it’s a really compelling camera sensor. It would be interesting to see what Vivo can do with it. The Vivo X80 Pro is regarded to be one of the best camera smartphones in the market, so if its successor ends up using a 1-inch camera sensor, things could become quite interesting. Vivo is partnered up with ZEISS as well, so it’s getting ZEISS optics and input. The tipster actually shared more information, not just the camera stuff. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is said to fuel the Vivo X90 Pro. That is Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship SoC, which will likely launch in November.
You can also expect the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and 100W charging
Furthermore, the phone is said to pack in a 5,000mAh battery, and support 100W charging. Its predecessor comes with a 4,700mAh battery, and offers 80W charging. The device will support fast wireless charging as well, at least 50W one. That is basically all the information that the tipster shared. The Vivo X90 Pro will almost certainly include a periscope camera as well, though, and ship with Android 13 out of the box. Vivo’s Funtouch OS will also be included. You can also expect a large display with a QHD+ resolution, and 120Hz refresh rate. It will almost certainly be an LTPO 3 display, by the way, Vivo has a tendency to use the latest and greatest in its flagship smartphones. So, when will this phone become official? Well, the Vivo X80 Pro arrived in April this year. If the Vivo X90 Pro arrives in April next year, we’re in for quite a long way. It is quite possible it will, however.
