These six new Telegram features include a new download manager
Telegram made a post detailing the new additions it made to its messaging platform. These six new features make Telegram that much better. Starting off, there’s this new download manager. When you’re downloading a file, you’ll notice an icon on the right side of the search bar. Tapping it will show you the list of current and previous downloads. What’s really neat about this download manager is the bevy of extra functions you can access via a long press on a download. You can jump right to the chat that you’re downloading the file from or forward it. Lastly, you can set a download as a priority. Doing so will pin that download to the top and make it download faster than the others.
There’s a new attachment menu and revamped dark mode
Telegram added a new look to the attachment menu for the iOS version. When you tap on the paperclip icon, you’ll see your gallery pop up with your pictures and videos arranged in a grid pattern. Users will notice the camera integrated into the top left of the grid. It will grant you quick access to your camera. With the new dark mode, the top panel now has a semi-translucent design. This means that when you’re scrolling through your messages, you’ll be able to see your messages and media through the panel.
Other features include login animations, usernames, and new streaming options
For Android and macOS, there are some new animations added for when you log in. They’re all really smooth and pleasing to the eye. Next, users can create unique usernames that people can make links for. This lets people search you up and easily find you. The beauty of this is that you don’t need to give people your phone number anymore. If you like to live stream on Telegram, then this feature will excite you. Now, Telegram can now be integrated with your favorite broadcast tool. This includes OBS, Xsplit, and more.
