Krafton Inc says the game will launch in over 200 countries simultaneously, so everyone should get a chance to play as soon as things go live. Assuming there’s no server downtime right at the beginning as there sometimes can be with live service games. PUBG: New State aims to be a benchmark in battle royale for mobile devices. With the game’s executive producer, Minkyu Park, stating that they want the game to set the standard for the genre when it comes to mobile. Earlier this year Krafton Inc held a limited technical alpha test for the game. And if you didn’t get a chance to participate back then, you’ll get one more chance prior to the game’s release.

PUBG: New State will have one more technical test prior to launch

Players who wanted the ability to check out the game before launch will get their chance. A final upcoming technical test will take place on October 29 through October 30. The test will not be global though. It’ll happen in 28 different countries across Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. Some of the countries included in the test are Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, Cambodia, Lebanon, Egypt, Yemen, and Turkey.

Check out the media showcase

In addition to announcing the launch, last night Krafton Inc held a media showcase that went over many different points about the game. From an in-depth look at the game to a brand-new trailer, there’s a lot of information to take in. As the whole event is about 50 minutes. Also worth noting is the showcase audio is in Chinese, but you can enable captions if needed. All of the on-screen text for showcase slides are also in English so even without enabling captions it’s pretty easy to get the gist of what’s being revealed. If you’re interested at all in the game, the showcase is worth a watch.
