Who says spiders can’t be cute? This commercial comes from Samsung Germany’s official YouTube account (via SamMobile), illustrating the life of a spider living inside an enclosure within an apartment. The creature’s life completely changes when a new billboard of the Galaxy S22 Ultra goes up on the building outside. All of this plays out to the tune of “Love Hurts” by legendary Scottish rock band Nazareth. You can check out the commercial in its entirety below....

The December SMR (Security Maintenance Release) for the Galaxy S10 series in the US is currently limited to carrier-locked units. Samsung is seeding the new security patch with firmware version G97*USQS8IVL1, SamMobile reports. The handsets aren’t getting any new features or enhancements but the latest SMR contains plenty of vulnerability fixes. The company mentions as many as 80 patches in its security bulletin updated earlier this month. As usual, this month’s SMR contains some Galaxy-specific patches as well as patches for vulnerabilities that affect the entire Android ecosystem....

Launched with Android 11 in April last year, the Galaxy M12 is first receiving the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update in Vietnam. Rolling out with firmware version M127FXXU3BVF8, the big Android update for the entry-level model should soon expand to other markets too. It comes with the June 2022 Android security patch. The Galaxy A22 5G, which debuted a couple of months after the Galaxy M12 with Android 11 on board, is initially picking up Android 12 in Malaysia and Thailand....

According to a Business Korea report, Samsung is looking to provide customers with recycled parts that are manufacturer-certified to be functioning as well as factory-new parts. This will significantly reduce the repair costs as recycled components don’t cost as much as new ones. We are looking at half the original cost for certain components. Of course, this initiative will massively contribute to Samsung’s long-ongoing sustainability efforts as well. Repurposing or recycling used items is one of the key steps toward a sustainable future and the Korean brand has been actively promoting it....
