Nothing is having a March event
After gaining $70 million Series B Financing, Nothing is really making something of itself. The company is still really new, having only produced one product. While that’s true, it says that there are at least four more devices planned for the near future. That’s a tall order to fill for a new company. We’re all excited to see what the company has in store for us, and we’ll find out soon. Along with the news of its new financing, Business Wire also stated that Nothing will have an event coming in just two weeks’ time. The event, called “The Truth” will be a live-streamed event taking place on March 23rd.
Could we see the Nothing Phone?
When Nothing announced that it was working on four new devices, everyone had the idea that one of them was going to be a phone. While it seems rather ambitious to go straight from earbuds to a phone, plenty of startups start up with a phone. We saw a leaked image of what could be the Nothing Phone during MWC. This, coupled with the recent round of leaks and rumors, points to this event centering around a phone from the company. Along with the leaks and rumors, Nothing itself also said that it plans on launching a phone in April. A late-March event with an April launch makes all of the sense in the world.
What could make this phone different?
The thing that makes a Nothing phone interesting is the unique hook that the company established for itself. The Nothing Ear (1) used the tagline “It feels like nothing is in your ear”. That makes you wonder if its phone will follow the same direction. Maybe the Nothing phone will have a very light and minimalist Android skin with minimal bloatware. The phone itself could be thin and light with a subdued design. Maybe, and most people will want this, the phone could have the transparent design as with the Nothing Ear (1).
