OnePlus plans to launch a phone with 150W charging, and Dimensity 8100 SoC

The tipster went to Weibo (a Chinese social media network) to share the news. The phone will be fueled by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC. That chip will allegedly offer a similar performance to the Snapdragon 888. The device will feature a 6.7-inch fullHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. A display camera hole will be included, and it will be centered, which is not the case with the OnePlus 10 Pro. A 50-megapixel main camera (Sony’s IMX766 sensor) will be placed on the back. More than one camera will be issued on the back, though, of course, we just don’t have information about the others. A 4,500mAh battery is also mentioned, and the same goes for 150W wired charging. That’s basically all the information that the tipster shared thus far.

This is not the OnePlus 10 or OnePlus 10 Ultra

We’re not sure what this phone will be called. It most likely is not the OnePlus 10, due to its display size, first and foremost. It’s also likely not the OnePlus 10 Ultra, as that phone is tipped to ship with a TSMC-manufactured Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. This phone is quite a mystery at this point. We do expect it to have really thin bezels, though, and a curved display. It would be huge with a flat display considering its display size is 6.7 inches. The phone will likely be made out of metal and glass. That wasn’t mentioned by the tipster, but considering this will be a step below the company’s flagship, that’s what we’re expecting. It is unknown when will this phone launch, but we’ll likely hear more about it soon.
