He wasn’t exactly direct, but we assumed what he meant by that. We immediately wrote that the Galaxy S22 Ultra will ship with a built-in S Pen, and that assumption was spot on, it seems.
More sources confirm that the Galaxy S22 Ultra is coming with a built-in S Pen
Ice Universe has tweeted out something new, an image. This image clearly shows the bottom of the smartphone, with a spot for the S Pen. He, also offered a confirmation of what we were suspecting in a separate tweet.
— Ice universe (@UniverseIce) September 23, 2021 This is not necessarily a sketch of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, it could be just a random sketch to signalize what’s coming. Following his tweet, two other tipsters basically confirmed that this is happening. GaryeonHan and Tron both tweeted out that they can confirm the rumor is happening. This is not exactly surprising, though. A Galaxy Note-branded smartphone did not launch this year, which disappointed many users.
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 does not come with a dock for the S Pen, unfortunately
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 was supposed to replace it, as it supports the S Pen, but it doesn’t come with an S Pen built-in. That is also a foldable smartphone, and not everyone is ready to jump over to foldable phones, plus they’re still quite expensive. Samsung seems to have found a solution. The Galaxy S22 Ultra will essentially become the new Note handset, in all but its name. A built-in S Pen, and a slew of Note-like features will make sure of it. The Galaxy S22 Ultra will become official in January next year. It is coming alongside the Galaxy S22 and S22+, while mass production for those three phones is set to begin in November. That information comes from reliable sources, so it’s likely happening.
