It’s not new for Samsung to sell new devices in exclusive colors from its store. The Galaxy S22 series, for example, was available in seven additional color options at Samsung.com that weren’t available anywhere else. The company offered the Ultra model in Sky Blue, Graphite, and Red colors and the Galaxy S22/S22+ in Sky Blue, Graphite, Cream, and Violet colors through its website. It appears the Korean firm will do something similar with the Galaxy Z Fold 4 as well. The idea is to incentivize customers to purchase directly through it. What remains to be seen is whether the Dark Red shade that the upcoming foldable is said to get will be the same as the red-colored Galaxy S22 Ultra. We will likely start seeing it in renders in the coming weeks. Unfortunately, for most people, buying the Galaxy Z Fold 4 in Dark Red may not be a possibility. Even if Samsung sells it in your region, the stock may run out pretty quickly. You will have the highest chance of grabbing it if you place the order as soon as the sales/pre-orders commence. Of course, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will be widely available in several other colors. We are hearing of Gold, Gray, Light Blue, and Light Violet shades. There may be even more. So you can always choose one of these if Dark Red isn’t your thing.

Galaxy Z Fold 4 is about a month away

If you’ve been following the developments around Samsung’s next-gen foldables — Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 — you have probably heard about the possible launch date. Rumors are that the Korean firm will hold a Galaxy Unpacked event on August 10 to unveil the devices. The Galaxy Watch 5 series and the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are also expected to break cover at the same event. The upcoming Galaxy Unpacked could be an offline affair, a first in two years. Samsung reportedly plans to take the stage in New York. If true, the company may soon start sending invitations for the event. We will keep you posted with all the latest information.
